In fact, vegetarianism and reason are completely compatible things. I think the problem here is not in vegetarians as such, but that those of them who attack the brains of meat-eaters are much more cried and annoying (and normal vegetarians, on the contrary, behave calmly (and do right). Hence the prejudice to vegetarians in general.
Unfortunately, the community is often judged by its worst representatives.
