And why did you take that "it is commonly considered to be the ideal doctor"? No not accepted. Never mentioned this in the whole series (I watched it all, so I say not from the ceiling). On the contrary, many positive characters of the series have repeatedly called House infantile and outcast.
Everything is much easier - on the "bad guy" is more interesting to watch, this is the basis of the plot that in the movies, that in the books. There is no negative character - there is no conflict around which everything is built, therefore there is no plot.
