During a rally to check the order in Amsterdam’s coffee shops, the Dutch police fined a 27-year-old marijuana smoker for finding tobacco in his basket.
Since July 2008, smoking in public places has been banned throughout the EU, and the Netherlands has not been an exception to this new rule. However, the ban does not extend to smoking pure marijuana inside so-called coffee shops that have a license to sell it. The unhappy smoker burned on the fact that he did not want to battle with a 100% drug and mixed marijuana with forbidden tobacco in his wrapper.
