On the topic of "cruel methods of motivation". To school my mother (who worked there as a teacher) woke me up with the phrase:"You are not going to school?". In 11th grade I once said "I won’t go". I did not go. :) Mom comes and says "I said you’re sick. Don’t make such jokes anymore"
