I am not an author, but I was disturbed. In the university, they were not allowed to engage in the direction for which I went there, with the literal wording "the girls in science have nothing to do." If you haven’t encountered something personally or don’t notice something because of your biological gender, it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.
