And God said, Let us make man in our image and in our likeness. 1 and 26)
And God created man in his image, in the image of God he created him (Genesis 1:27).
Dear Orthodox culturologists and hierarchs of the Russian Orthodox Church, outraged by the new rules for designing Orthodox temples, according to which, in particular, in the custody of new temple buildings, toilets are proposed!
And does not the aforementioned quote, familiar even to any atheist, lead you to some considerations... “at our image and in our likeness...”.
This is, as the theologians of all the Abrahamic confessions have agreed with each other for a long time, about the physical form, and not about the soul... For the naive and inclined to sin Adam could not have a soul like that... well, you understand.
And there is no reliable information that the body appearance and functions of the first man and the first woman differed from our modern ones.
It turns out that there was a toilet in Paradise... and he was there, it is terrible to say, and before the creation of Adam...
Today, thank God, a lot of Orthodox people go to the temples, including many elderly and not very healthy people, mothers and fathers with children. What, would it be better if they were standing on long services, dancing, or running out somewhere and looking for salvation from their little trouble somewhere away from the temple fence?
So if you, respected scribes and Pharisees, that is, forgive me, culturologists and hierarchs, consider “incompatible with the holiness of the Orthodox temple” the presence in the churches of civilized toilets (even in shelters or in small basements, as it is rumored to be accepted by Catholics) – do you not thus fall into the sin of pride and vanity?
