Why did you get married at the age of 17?

I had a dispute with a fellow student. I proved to him that in modern society, any restrictions on sexual life are harmful. He adhered to a strict moral and ethical view. A fellow student stated that I reasoned so only out of selfishness — because I want complete freedom to myself. I was young and stupid then. Now I would say that my personal interests do not contradict the public interests. But then I stood on the asshole. I said I refused to have sex at all. Promises have a bad property: they must be fulfilled.

Do you not regret?
