In Copenhagen, 20 years ago, owners of small shoe shops exhibited demonstration pairs of shoes right on the street. Then refugees from Africa and Palestine came to Denmark, and only one shoe from the pair was put out on the street to avoid being stolen. Then the Russians arrived, and the shoes had to be cleaned inside the shops – because our got to steal first, and then the second set out of a pair of shoes.
