On the first day, the inscription looked like this: "X-th Congress of the Union of Journalists of Russia", where X is the number of the Roman alphabet.
The next day, an Interfax correspondent discovered that the defect and the letter "y" were glued. The Union of Journalists explained that the changes were caused by the fact that "some delegates began to have incorrect associations."
The organizer of the congress: “That’s why we glued the defiant with the booklet ‘y’ and left the Roman figure ‘X’.
By the way, the original inscription that confused journalists was made with a mistake: according to the rules of the Russian language, literal build-ups to Roman numbers are not applied.
