Negotiations with Kiev on the debt of the USSR are possible if Ukraine compensates for its share in the external debt of the Soviet Union, reports "Interfax" with reference to the statement of the Russian Foreign Ministry. As of December 1, 1994, the share of Ukraine in the external debt of the USSR amounted to US$6.8 billion, which is almost US$20 billion in current prices.
