Archbishop Mufti of the Central Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Russia Talgat Tadjudin proposed to add a half-moon on the Russian emblem as a symbol of Islam. According to Tadjudin, half a moon should be replaced by a cross on the crown that crowns one of the heads of a two-headed eagle.
