In one archaeological expedition, I heard a funny story illustrating, in my opinion, the essence of human nature.
Per many people imagine what a classic Arabic home looks like. Not a palace or a mosque, but an ordinary home of middle-income masters. This is such a square box, with a semisphere above. If you look closely, you can notice that this hemisphere (i.e. the roof) is made up of ordinary stones bound by some kind of cement. If you do not get into the question of what this cement is made of, then you can be surprised by another - and how it is possible to connect these stones with cement without a single support??? The answer is primitively simple. When they finished building the main box of the building, all of it was then sinked with sand, and, in addition, a large "hill" was sinked, a hemisphere, on which the roof was then quietly laid out, like a roofed shell on a sandstone... Nothing interfered. Then the stones, mixed with cement, froze... But! This is the big question - and then how to get all the sand out of the house??? And here everything was very simple. Before filling the sand, the owners placed a handful of gold coins in the furthest corner from the entrance. This was included in the cost of building a house, placed from the beginning. And before entering the new house, there was already a crowd of local poor people. And when the owners decided that the cement was frozen, they commanded, “Let’s go!!!“And the poor rushed to throw the sand out of the house, trying to dig into the gold...The house was cleaned in minutes. Here is the man and his essence.
