The professor was incredibly lucky, and he and the university avoided the fine and compensation because the professor managed to turn out the following way. When the judge asked if he confirmed that he called the girl “beautiful,” the professor replied:

But I did it for human reasons. I’ve never seen a more ugly woman in my life, and I felt so sorry for her that I didn’t stand up and decided to help her raise self-confidence with at least one kind word.

The judge accepted the explanation and the case was closed.
