The real name of Margaret Goethe, as is known, was Marie Duplessie. She was an outstanding beauty, fascinated by all of Paris and known even by people who had nothing to do with her, by a bouquet of wonderful camellia, without which she never appeared in the days of the first performances in theaters. Camellia is not always the same color. Twenty-five days in a month were white and five days red.
