The fire occurred on a submarine while parking at a naval shipyard in the city of Kitteri. Casey Fury, a 24-year-old who was cleaning and painting the submarine, suffered from depression and set up a fire to leave work faster. The fire extinguishment took about 10 hours. Seven people suffered minor injuries and burns. The court sentenced Fury to 17 years in prison and a fine of $400 million.
